A fire broke out on Wednesday, on a bus running on the Bistrița-Slătinița route, on DJ 172G, and carrying 16 passengers. The flames spread quickly, so the vehicle turned to ashes. Fortunately, no one was injured.
A fire crew from the Bistrița Detachment intervened today, on DJ 172G, in Slătinița – component locality of Bistrița municipality, at a fire that broke out on a bus.
According to ISU Bistrița-Năsăud, no victims were registered.
„The 16 passengers and the driver got off the bus on their own, safely.
The driver provided the first intervention with the extinguisher, but the fire quickly spread. When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the fire was widespread throughout the bus.
The fire was liquidated quickly, without extension to the neighborhood / forest „, said Marius Rus, the spokesman of ISU Bistrița-Năsăud.
The event is being investigated by police.
„From the first dates, on a bus driven by a 69-year-old man from Bistrița, while performing a regular passenger race on the Bistrița – Slătinița route, a fire broke out.
There were no injuries from the fire, the vehicle being completely destroyed. The driver was tested alcoholically, the result being negative.
