A man from Mureșenii Bârgăului was drastically fined by police, after being caught carrying over 6 m3 of timber, without holding legal documents. At the same time, the goods were confiscated by law enforcement.
Police of the 1 Bistrița Rural Police found on Tuesday on an agricultural road between Herina and Lechința, a van run by a 52-year-old man from Mureșenii Bârgăului.
Following the checks, the police found that the man was carrying wood and timber, respectively, without having documents of origin.
It was ordered to confiscate the amount of 6,175 m3 of timber, amounting to 5,372.25 lei being handed over in the custody of the forest district on the area of competence.
The police also took the measure of the contravention sanctioning of the man according to LG. 171/2010 with a fine of 4,000 lei.
